Experiments That Were Terrible There are a lot of weird experiments taking place all over the world. Some of them have the capability to wipe us off this planet, while other seem so wrong. Maybe it is just me, but one experiment just like something out of a horror movie is being conducted and that experiment entails creating tiny human brains and then experimenting on them. It might be hard to imagine, but try, think of you just having a brain without any of your senses. Your life would be a living hell. In the beginning it was said these micro-brains were not capable of true thought, but since then some opinions have changed to, we don’t know, and maybe they do. Guess what scientists did next, they gave the brains eyes. This just seems to be very cruel if the brains can feel anything. Another experiment involves the Large Hadron Collider which smashes particles. It is a useful tool for many different reasons, but it has become so powerful it could result in a black hole being formed on earth, which would be the end of us all. Some scientists admit there is a chance of this happening but claim if it does, they will be very small and only last for a millisecond. Why am I against this? It is because if there exists the possibility of a black hole being created, I believe you would have to be crazy to conduct the experiment. Taking a chance with all life on earth, no matter how small the chance of destruction, to conduct an experiment makes no sense to me. Another type of experiment being conducted in different countries has to do with taking a disease and making it far stronger in a lab. The so called reason is to know what to do if it happens naturally. The problem is there have been many leaks from even the safest labs so this type of experimentation is not worth it. It is suspected this is how Covid-19 got into the population. In the 1920s experimentation was taking place in the Soviet Union in labs. The Soviets wanted to find out the most efficient way to poison people without leaving a trace. They would bring prisoners in, feed them with poisoned food and wait to see how they died. It was beyond cruel. The experiments continued for years. If a prisoner happened to survive, they were executed to keep the work secret. The Nazis were known for performing some terrible experiments on the prisoners in their concentration camps. Doctor Joseph Mengele became known as the Angel of Death and lived in a concentration camp so he would have access to prisoners. One of his experiments had to do with twins. He would perform all sorts of horrible experiments on them, usually killing them. If they survived, they were usually killed anyway. He was truly a monster. In 1932 a so called experiment took place in America called the Tuskegee Experiment. It consisted of all black men. 399 who had Syphilis and 201 who didn’t. The study went on past the time penicillin was discovered and yet these people were never treated and didn’t even know it was to study the effects of Syphilis on the human body. In 1972 a panel was appointed to investigate the study and they stated in was ethically unjustified. The panel said it should be stopped and it was, a month later. In 1973 a legal action was brought and a settlement reached. Prisoners here would volunteer for experiments in exchange for some type of reward. San Quentin ran such a program which ended in 1951. One experiment would be the transfer of testicles from dead men to elderly prisoners to see if it would rejuvenate them. Other tests included manipulation them to see if criminal behavior could be reduced and stopping those who were thought to be unfit from having children. One of the experiments which took place is one I believe was truly evil and yet it did not require any drugs or cutting, but it took place using children to experiment on. It had to do with orphans and stuttering. Children were put into two groups, each containing stutters and non-stutters. The first group were told they were all fine and the second were told they were all stutters. All in the second group developed speech problems after continuously being told they had speech problems. They suffered in school and their marks suffered and they became withdrawn. Many decades later the state of Iowa awarded the children who developed problems in the second group a monetary settlement. When some of these terrible experiments took place, the data was saved. In some cases, helpful information for treatment came out of it. Many people didn’t want anyone to use this information because they felt people were murdered to get it. People certainly were, but it seems if it could be used to save the lives of people today, the people who suffered so tremendously would have wanted us to use it. I do understand however why many would not want it used. It is a very tough choice. I have to wonder how a doctor can ignore the fact he is injuring or killing people as he is experimenting on them. It is said the Hippocratic Oath is taken by doctors all over the world. They are supposed to look out for the welfare of their patients. How easily some of them violate their oath. The CIA conducted the program known as MK Ultra. It was an illegal mind control program. The Chinese and Russians had already begun their experiments and we wanted to catch up. One of the goals was to alter perception. They might put LSD in a drink then give it to an employee of the agency to see what the results would be. They would also use, in some cases, sleep deprivation, torture and isolation to see what this would do to the psyche. A different type of experiment was conducted which would affect us indirectly and that was the GMO experiment. This had to do with genetically altered plants such as corn and others. It doesn’t take a genius to know if you plant a crop, some of the parts will spread to other areas and contaminate other crops. That is what happened when a GMO crop was not planted in a secure location. Some companies wanted GMO crops because they were seen as a cash cow. The seeds would have to be purchased every year from the companies because the plants would produce what is known as terminator seeds forcing the farmers not to be able to save seeds for the next crop. There is also the fear by some people the plants could be harmful to us over time.
