Ramblings Sometimes, scientists find out things which seem incredible to most of us. Recently it was claimed we may be able to use black holes in a way in the future we never thought of. They were saying it might be possible to extract a type of video from them showing how the universe was created or scenes from the early universe. I don’t pretend to understand how we could do this, but scientists are saying these movies are locked up in the event horizon of the black hole. This is the glowing ring around it where the material being pulled into the black hole is swirling around as it is on its final journey into the black hole. Its funny I had heard about something similar years ago. It seems a lot of people have said they saw ghostly Roman soldiers marching in the catacombs of Rome. There was a theory it was a recording made naturally by the surrounding stone and every time this happened it seemed it was the exact same thing in every way. This strengthened the theory but it was never proved. Microbiologists have made a surprising statement and it was there are ten times the number of bacterial cells in a human body than there are human cells. Could it be these bacterial cells serve some purpose we are yet unaware of? It reminds me of scientists saying most of our DNA is junk. That covers about 90 percent of our DNA. Is it really junk or is it we just don’t know what it is used for? Did you ever hear the saying, “it is like watching the grass grow?” People generally say this to illustrate the very slow speed of something. It turns out not all grass is very slow growing. Would you believe me if I told you there was a grass which can grow four feet in one day? Bamboo is a type of grass and there is a type of it called Moso that grows that fast. It has been used in many ways some of which are not so nice. I remember hearing about a torture which was used where a person was placed a few feet above the bamboo and as it grew it penetrated the person’s body. Can you imagine being tied in place and watching this plant get closer and closer? One place to find strange things is in the realm of quantum science. One thing I have mentioned many times is truly mind boggling. It has to do with watching an experiment in quantum physics. It has been proven in at least some experiments, if they are watched it changes the outcome. I can’t help but think this makes absolutely no sense, yet it is true. This has to indicate there are lot of things in this world we still haven’t figured out. Have you ever had to have a tree taken off your property? Most people have it cut down and the stump ground down, but there is a type of tree called the Finnish Pine Tree which has such an excessive root system you probably couldn’t pull it up, even if you wanted to. The total length of the root system is over 30 miles. As hard as this is to imagine the human adult body has enough blood vessels to go around the world twice if they were laid from end to end. Rumors are flying around the internet about a project some people think Elon Musk is working on. If he is, it is a secret project. Supposedly he is digging a tunnel from California to Los Vegas. He does like to dig, so this may not be so far-fetched. It is funny how people react about UFO sightings depending upon who said he witnessed one. A lot of people were stunned when Aaron Rodgers said he witnessed one. I think in the eyes of some people they now believe Rodgers is a little nuts. The reason for this is the fact while much of the stigma from UFO sightings is gone there are still a few people who believe people who have sightings have something wrong with them. Everyone knows rats are a problem in cities. Exterminators are used to get rid of them in stores and restaurants and some times the are called in every month, yet there are still rats around. I bet you might not know what I am going to say about rat procreation. In two years, one pair of rats, a male and female of course, can have over one million descendants in those two years. Talk about shoveling you know what against the tide. Did you know the height of mountains can change seasonally? We have been told since we were little children Mount Everest is the tallest mountain on earth. This is wrong on two counts. The first one is the mountain named K-2 becomes taller for a few weeks every year because of snow falls. The second reason why Everest is not the tallest mountain on earth is the fact there is at least one mountain under water which is taller from it base to its peak. It is claimed the longest lasting marriage was between Herbert and Zelmyra Fisher. They were married in 1924 and the marriage lasted until 2011. It is being said divorces have increased and marriages among the elderly are also falling apart at an increasing rate. There is a cave in Mexico which ancient human remains were found in. It was said humans stayed there 15,000 years ago. Now the estimates have changed and the date was rolled back to 30,000 years ago. The dates for humans being on this planet is constantly being rolled back and there are those who think humans were around at the same time the dinosaurs walked the earth. They cite a few different finds where human and dinosaur footprints exist in the same area and seem to show humans walking next to a dinosaur. One of the things which is going to change space flight is plasma. The most abundant state of matter in the universe is plasma. You never hear that fact. Eventually plasma will protect our space ships from radiation and maybe collisions, at least with smaller objects. The rush is on to develop cold plasma. Sometime I just like to talk about different things such as I am doing here. Usually I stick to one topic, but some times I need a break.
